Abstract

This article focuses on the question of how space is relevant to educational youth research and which theoretical and empirical challenges emerge. Along the current state of research on spatial action of young people in public spaces, it is clear that there has been no interweaving of spatial and educational research so far. In conclusion, we discuss how spatial action can be formulated theoretically as a cause for learning. Education processes and first approaches are presented how this could also be empirically considered.
