Abstract

Religious education in school was for a long time liturgically shaped until liturgical formation was no longer seen as a task of it but of parish catechesis. Current approaches try to develop a didactics of liturgy that is adapted to the school as a place of learning. The deficit of worship experience is a central challenge. One of the ways of reacting to this is with the help of performative didactics in order to enable practical experiences that, framed in reflection, form the basis for engagement with liturgy.
