Abstract

Secret service reports and international studies indicate that Jihadist Radicalization can be observed predominantly among young people. This article deals with the understanding of Jihad in the Salafist-Jihadist tradition. The concepts of important Jihadist personalities are presented, as well as nuances within Jihadism are dealt with, so that teachers can make themselves familiar with the genesis of the Salafist-Jihadist worldview. In a further step, the Pedagogy of Human Rights is an educational approach that lays the foundation for a democratic and pluralistic society and discusses the framework conditions for a functioning, free public.
