Abstract

Postcolonial and decolonial studies have long since motivated corresponding reflections in theology. This article briefly presents the history and significance of postcolonial studies and theologies, as well as providing an overview of key terms in these theories. A special focus lies on the presentation of the spectrum and the range of postcolonial theologies, before finally presenting an outlook over some possible and meaningful consequences of these developments for religious education.
