Abstract

The social and political dimension of religious education have been overlooked for a long time concerning the view of a subject-oriented modeling. Against the background of current social challenges, today the question of the political dimension of religious education has increasingly raised. This can be explained and developed in educational, biblical and theological terms. Building on this, content-related perspectives can be outlined. This demand for the awarness of the world responsibility has also impact on the self-image of teachers.
