Abstract

Particularly at school, a place to enable the personal development and advancement of the students, quite a few young people experience victimization – as various empirical-quantitative studies impressively show. This article, however, focuses on empirical-qualitative studies in order to gain insights into these experiences from the internal perspective of those affected. The retrospective descriptions are read and evaluated both with an interest in the individual – with a focus on experiencing such events and their effects for those affected – as well as with a systemic attention – with a focus on conditions of the realizations of these dynamics and their significance for the social fabric. On this basis, religious-educational perspectives will be developed in view of this general educational challenge.
