Abstract

This article deals with the relationship between theology and religious education. On the basis of Paul Tillich's correlative understanding of the relationship between God and man, Emmanuel Levinas' concept of radical alterity is used to reflect on the creative limit of man. In the following, I deepen the understanding of the border in terms of creation theology. As a border space that is always newly constituted, it primarily demands to be perceived. Consequently, I discuss (performative) religious education as a science of perception. In doing so, I deepen the understanding of perception and give theological reasons for the relationship between theology and religious education.
