Abstract

The question of plurality of religious learning in educational institutions has taken center stage in religious pedagogical (and public) discourse during the last years. The following contribution gives a detailed insight into the latest ÖRF conference and depicts both experience reports of directors of educational institutions with the subsequent discussion, including a systematization and development of the given reports through two external experts, and further religious pedagogical reflections of the conference itself. Nowadays educational institutions are faced with growing religious and cultural plurality and its challenges. Both negative and destructive experiences and positive and enriching potentials shape the experience of all parties involved. The great complexity of this issue makes it even more important to look at it from different angles without isolating the phenomenon ‚religion‘.
