Abstract

Since the school year 2015/16, our school has been involved in the integration of young refugees into the Austrian school system. These teenagers are confronted with high expectations regarding integration and language acquisition, but face additional difficulties due to their often instable life situations. Yet, also the teachers are highly challenged by these very heterogeneous groups. This article reflects the experiences that have been made at our school over the past two years.
