The paper takes a case study about a correlatively oriented teaching unit on Jona in primary school as its starting point. This case study clearly shows the difficulties which correlative Bible Didactics have to face. However, it also illustrates the chances of working with the book of Jona on an intertextual basis. Based on this case study, the theoretical main features of intertextual exegesis shall be presented here. This should then lead to the development of requirements and challenges for intertextually oriented learning processes.
