This article investigates the research question: To what quantitative extent do religious teachers in Styria emphasize pastoral work in their schools? The authors of this study start from the hypothesis that religious teachers make a substantial contribution to pastoral work in their schools. They present the results of a survey which recorded the pastoral contributions of Catholic religious teachers in Styria in the school environment.
