Abstract

Due to the rising number of confessions/religions acknowledged by the state Religious Education (RE) in schools is coming up in a greater variety. The multi-cultural and multi-faith situation in an increasing number of schools in Vienna brings up questions about cooperations between RE teachers e.g. how to organize school life that attends to the respective needs, how and whether to celebrate religious feasts during a school year – together or separate? This paper reports on the results of the survey of RE teachers in the Archdiocese Vienna and their experiences with cooperation in schools.
